Big changes are coming for 5G edge computing

According to the latest worldwide market study by Juniper Research, telecom network operator spending on MEC (multi-access edge computing) will increase from $2.7 billion in 2020 to $8.3 billion in 2025. You read that right: Spending will almost triple within the next four years.

MEC (formerly known as mobile edge computing) is a communications approach that enables cloud computing capabilities at the edge of a cellular network, or really any network.

Microsoft Edge gets ‘sleeping’ tabs and a password generator

Microsoft today added a bunch of new features to its Edge browser, helping bring it to parity with Chrome in some areas while adding some unique touches in others.

Perhaps most notably, Edge now has a password generator and monitor, helping you keep your accounts safe from hackers and making sure you’re not using the same login information for every website.
